Hurrah! I discovered the evil database error. I just had to add in a few blank tables for April Fool's sake.
TV Night
Premieres! The Season IV premiere of The Office was quite excellent. I also enjoyed My Name is Earl. Jaime Pressly was hilarious as usual. You see, Earl is in prison now for a crime that her character committed.
Anyways, on with my random tv post. Right now, I'm watching Sam the Cooking Guy and it is incredibly annoying. Picture jump-cuts and ambient music while some guy makes overly-obvious and repetitive cooking observations. I'm sure the innate kitchen idiot inside me is supposed to enjoy this, but even I can cook this stuff. Imagine if somebody served me a pot of Starbucks coffee, a pair of Emo glasses, and my own cooking show. Presto! Andy the Crazy Cooking Guy!
Gordon
No, I'm not blathering about Batman again. This time I'm talking about the newest release of WordPress. If you check out my footer, you'll notice that I haven't upgraded this blog yet.
If you are thinking of upgrading, I recommend taking your time...i.e. you might set aside an entire Saturday or something like that. I prematurely moved a few blogs to 2.3 and spent hours trying to rework my themes.
Many database tables have been deprecated in this version, so you'll find that many of your plug-ins will no longer work. Ah, the tribulation pains of progress!
Breakfast Bonanza
We ate at Michael's Uptown for breakfast this morning and, as predicted, it was delicious. There was a slight wait and a bit of clatter amongst the wait staff, but the food and overall service was tremendous. On special, I had the Huevos Rancheros: eggs over-easy and salsa atop refried beans and a tortilla. Azi had the homefries and I snuck a bite or ten of those. The A+ evaluation was unanimous. We all loved the experience and left with full, jolly bellies.
Weekend!
Excitement! We are picking Blaire up from the airport this evening. She is our first official visitor from the former homestead, Gainesville. It will be fun to show her the sights, sounds, life, and times of the great Bloomington.
Also slated, we have beloved bro, Jonny T-Rex swinging into town. I'm hoping to find a few IU football tickets. We might just have to tailgate and bring a radio. Ah, such sacrifices!
