Frosh League

I tend to agree with Dan Wetzel. Myles Brand and the NCAA did sell their souls to the NBA by creating an age limit. I think, however, that I've come up with an interesting way around this nasty little recruiting scandal-aged dilemma. Create a professional limbo league for NBA bound players just leaving high school. Call it Frosh League, 1'N'Done, whatever you want, I think it would get better ratings than the XFL did. Certainly, maybe unfortunately, it would get more ratings than the WNBA.

Seriously, we don't force superstar welders or plumbers to go to college, do we? It's a ridiculous line to cross -- telling kids they have to go to college. It seems so unconstitutional as it directly interferes with the right of a young person to make a living. I digress. My main point still stands. A sort of transitory league makes sense. Not only does it lend purity back to the college game, it gives young stars a chance to play together. Think of a US Olympic squad with Derrick Rose, Eric Gordon, Kevin Love, OJ Mayo, and Darrell Arthur. Sound tempting, right? Certainly, they'd have the chance to gel over the course of an entire year. A year they would have spent breaking all of the NCAA rules and skipping class.

Meatloaf

Damn, I love a good commercial. And there are so many bad ones out there that a good one really can catch you off guard. This one make me laugh harder every time I see it. Surely, it is the best one I've seen in over a year.
